I have seen places (few) rent tandems. Never heard of bent to rent.
Fall foliage comes in a wave. It can be hard to catch even for locals.
You prob know this but look for foliage forecasts; you'll have to head where the peak color is. It may sound obvious, but finding good areas where you don't get sandwiched in with tour buses everywhere you look can be tricky.
