This was my daily ride for 4 years, since 2004. It's a Dawes Atlantis I bought on eBay UK for around $300 and had it sent to me in Tokyo. I'm not sure what year it is - the components date it to 1979 but the only Atlantis I've been able to find in the same colours and with the same components is in a 1984 Dawes catalogue. I replaced the rear original Suntour Racing Vx derailleur and Atom freewheel with Shimano Ultegra soon after I bought it as the RD was bent and the FW spacing was too wide for the new Shimano chain. Those and the handlebars are the only changes I made.

And this is my daily ride since February 14th 2008, a 1982 Trek 730 which I built up with mostly Campy parts - the headset is a Tange which was on the frame set when I bought it on eBay for $168 and the extra brake levers are Techro-something or other. It's about 1kg lighter than the Dawes but the ride is very similar.
