Nothing wrong with a single speed cruiser if it is used for what it was intended. I put many a mile on a Western Flyer single speed middle weight But once I learned about gears and how much fun they were it was all over But I agree that many people buy a bike ride it a few times an into the garage it goes, good thing too, I get great deals on my bikes that way
