14 mm axles
Ive always had old school bikes, and now Im purchasing my first new school. Im looking to do freestyle riding, and I have a few questions about the axles. What are the pros and cons of 3/8 vs 14mm? I see some of the bikes still come with 3/8 axles in the front, while the rear has 14m dropouts, why is that? I thought most new school bikes come with only 14mm axles for the more aggressive riding nowdays. This being said, is the 3/8 better and more versitle than 14mm, or maybe heat treated differently and better produced than in the 80s? Could someone help me out with this, Im looking to purchase a bike soon.
Thanks
