I'm 6'5'' and will be around 230lbs. So far I have only had the opportunity to test a Trek 7.3XS, which was too small, need the 25 in. Also rode a schwinn FASTBACK. Now I'm seeing there aren't too many schwinn fans around here. Figure I should look into as many options as I can; this is quite the investment for me. I am just getting into cycling and have no idea about the different kinds and companies for bikes. I will be using the bike for commuting around town, maximum a few miles in the small town I go to college in. Will also use it for workouts and recreational ride. I really did like the feel of the FASTBACK, yet it is the only road bike I have ever been on. If anyone has a list of bikes I should research, it would be much appreciated. My LBS mostly deals mostly with Trek. Someone mentions the Pilot before, but I looked online for prices and they all seemed to be over $1000. Looking for any information. Thanks
