Funny how attitudes have changed about safety. When I was little kid(70's and 80's) I rode with my dad on the top tube of his ten speed all the time and we went damn fast. No helmets, either. Don't know that I'd ride like that with my kids, but that has more to do with child services being called on me if I did than worrying about crashing with them. I'm sure jit know what he's doing per his kid.
