Actually my question is about DA 9 speed bar end shifter compability with other 9 speed non-DA components. I remember somebody mentioning that 9 speed DA STI(for some odd reason) isn't compatible with other non-DA equipment.

I 'm thinking about setting up my 9 speed conversion bike (frame spread to 130mm) with these shifters to keep the cost down, plus I won't have to buy those awfully expensive STI cables.
