I bought one pair of shorts and that'll probably be the last ones I buy. Bibs fit better (given you don't carry a beer gut), never have to adjust while riding, and just feel better. I'm so spoiled with my bib, I get annoyed at my running shorts and their fit. Really not much else to it. Probably the only reason to go with shorts is the convenience factor.
