Thanks for biting. I was waiting all day to write that. In return I can only suggest that you get a new wall map. You know how world wall maps in the US, have the US in the center, Alaska on the left and Russia on the right. So Alaska and Russia look like they are on opposite side of the world and far away from each other. But in reality Russia and Alaska are only like a mile away from each other. Well, you could cut the wall map between your home and work and then tape Alaska and Russia sections together. That would put you home and work on opposite ends of the world and make your commute look really huge.

Another option is to change your cyclo computer setting to a 1 inch diameter wheel. But then there is an added danger of getting speeding tickets. So it's your call on that.
