Hey Rick,
I'm not too familiar with the Santa Monica Mtns either, so me and my crew are planning on doing some recon on 3/15 and 3/29 as follows:
3/15 -
Park by the courthouse (like the charity ride). Climb Decker to Mulholland to Cold Canyon - up Piuma and Schueren to the top of Stunt. After that we cruise back to the cars via Malibu Canyon. It's the last part of the Double.
3/29 -
Park in Westlake. Down Mulholland, little Sycamore, and Cotharin... up Potrero back to the car. Ride or drive out to Balcolm Canyon, so I know what that's like.
