Anyway back to the camelbak, 'sides just being great for carrying enough water, your tools, food, etc. it can save your back from injury.
I use my Camelbak mule for road rides for our club (there are 6 or so of us who do). I really want it for the hot summer rides in the desert. It is really nice to still have cool water at the end of the ride (if you are careful and freeze enough the night before). I had not thought of a safety factor for it too.
