I don't get it, mayube I am not understanding. I have a cross lever mounted right next to my stem. brake cable comes directly from front brake, makes a little curve, and goes right into the lever. The lever clamps around the bar and is secured with a hex bolt. A couple allen key turns and it unclamps. Release the cable from the brake and Volla! you have a brake less bike. Want to switch bars, just unclamp the cross-lever, replace bars, re-clamp.
