He's not making overreaching claims based on sketchy statistics, and fully admits the evidence is anecdotal. I'd say your response was a whole lot more trollish than his post.

It doesn't take a genius to figure out that if you destroy your helmet in a crash and you walk away unscathed, it probably helped, since the thing that would have impacted without the helmet would be your brainpan. If your particular brain is worth little enough to you that its loss isn't of significant concern, then feel free to ride without a helmet.

And if your sex is rough enough to destroy helmets...I'd recommend a girlfriend who weighs a little less than your average NFL lineman. But that's just my preference, you might be into that.
