OK, here's one for you vintage/Campy tool afficianados...

I went to use my "new"* Campy crank arm puller and LOOOoooooooo.....

The threads to screw it into the arm (where the dust cap is, when it's all installed) are...

LEFT HANDED!!!

I have seen some odd bicycle parts, including Campy, but where & when did the dust cap/arm remover ever come in left hand threading**********??

Or is it for something ELSE??? Tandem cranks perhaps?

Kind of reminded me of The Liar's Club "vintage" TV show.
"OK, celebrities, ..please explain to our contestants, what the item is."

But I'm curious to see whay y'all have to say!


*I say new, because a couple of years ago my car got stolen and it had 95% of my bike tools in it at the time. I got the car back, sans the tools. Insurance replaced most everything, but now the original are mixed with the new, so I can't say which this is. I'm guesing new because I don't remember my Campy puller being lefty thread, but it looks like it's been sitting for 20 years.
