Can I use a 9 speed crankset on a bike with a 6speed cassette? The pedals I have on a Univega aren't great for long distance (since they are the old Dura Ace AX pedals) and I'd want to change the cranks up so I can use 9/16 x 20 pedals. The bike has a square tapered BB but I may be able to get a good deal on a Ultegra set w/ octalink BB. Would this work if I were to switch it out? Also do I need to change the chain if it is possible? Thanks
