I actually try to sometimes, but I still find things I didn't notice on my daily commute. Ironic since I try to pick scenic routes in the first place. I do notice more of it on my early morning commute (the sounds, it's too dark to see anything but the pavement in front of me) and on rides in remote areas where I can actually hear the brook and not the cars.

Funny it should come up right now, though, because I was riding past the Descanso Gardens on my commute home just yesterday and thought to myself how the ToC riders came through that very area just a couple weeks ago, but they were probably focussing on the race too much to even notice the beautiful area they were riding through.

I do plan on paying more attention this coming week, as I want a nice tree or grassy knoll scene to take a pic of my newly built up frame.
