That hub/wheel will work on either bike. What they've done is replace the quick release hollow axle with a solid threaded one that has nuts on it.

Spacing should still be the same (135mm).

You'll just have to carry a box end wrench with you now.

Or, you could get the shop to swap it back out for a hollow QR one. Personally I like the added strength of the bolted solid axle.
