Rans Formula Brake Problem

On the small front wheel V2 Formula; if the V-brake is wired the most direct way - the cable comes into the noodle from behind the headset column. The right crank arm will strike the noodle if pedaling in a sharp right turn. It simply means to build up some speed before a sharp right turn and don't pedal. The more interesting ? is whether there is a sidepull brake that will fit the 20" v2 Formula. That would seem to solve the problem.
