Let me apologise for not posting any pictures so far. The bike is still at my LBS, it was ready to pick up Thursday but work has been getting the way.
I have found out a bit more history regarding it though. My father in law had a bike in the 1960's (I have no idea just what it was, but the frame was again hand-built)that he converted to a road bike in 1993 (straight bars, Shimano STI gears, rapid fire shifters). He went to David Hind to build up the wheels, using new hubs but keeping the original rims. All the original Campag components he kept. Then in 1998 he got Dave Lloyd to build him a new frame to fit these components on to. The only change he made was to have index shifters installed instead of the original friction shifters on the down-tube. I don't know the correct term for them, but they are a small flick lever under the break levers to move up the rear sprocket, and a thumb switch on the brake lever stem to drop down? He used the original hubs on Mavic rims. It is 16 speed.
He then basically moth balled the bike, as far as I know it never turned a wheel on the road. There is a Cateye Computer fitted and the odometer is only on 1.2 miles. It has Continental tyres fitted, and there is not a mark on them, they look like new.
