Bikes: Trek 1100, DeRosa Idol

I was a century virgin on this ride and had a blast, despite blue-balls cold weather at the start and lots of pain and suffering on the relentless hills in the last 25 miles.

Started at 6:30, ended at 4:00. My speedometer quits in fog so I lost 22 miles on the odometer. I'm still taking credit for the 100!

PB&J washed down with with H2O directly from an almost-empty arrowhead bottle was my favorite pit-stop (SAG) re-fueling binge.
I was passed by entire cycling clubs at some points. Passed them on the next hill sometimes.

I really enjoyed the spontaneous cheering from bystanders. I think cycling is considered a very positive activity by most people across cultural lines in this country.

If #44 is out there, I'm #861. We passed each other about a dozen times.

Great scenery, great banquets at the sags along with great music. Well organized. Great downhills on bumpy roads that totally rattled the bike and proved-out my aluminum frame.
