bottom line is of the shelf you put someone on a 600 UG indexed system versus a nuovo record set-up with friction and regina and they will be flying up the road on the 600 while they would be clunking the NR across and reaching back to tweak the position.
I just like the look and feel of DT campy friction levers---so much so that I have paired them to a late nineties chorus 9 speed RD, with a 6 speed freewheel---and I am very happy with the shifting.
