I guess you could get a wire brush at the local Gun & Ammunition Shop. They sell them for cleaning rifle barrels.

On several occasions I used silicone caulk to plug the seat tube, to prevent dirt from getting in there.

Yesterday, I inspected my bottom bracket, and there was some dirt inside the BB shell. The dirt must be flung up by the rear tire and then fall in the seat tube.
