I think it is a possibility that you have fixed the problem...

A few things to check. Does the crank turn all the way around now? Can you wiggle it around at all? Does everything else move freely, like the jockey wheels etc?

The best way to have detected would have been to move the crank bqack and forth by hand before taking it apart to see where the hangup was happening, but I wouldn't expect any surprises unless something seems to stick when moved by hand...
