When I started driving 14 years ago, it was about $1.30/gal locally. I know we are a little more expensive that other areas, but I'd like to know where it is 79 cents/gal 9 years ago!
Where I was in Houston about that time, it was very nearly that cheap. I don't recall seeing it at 79 cents, but like 90 cents sounds about right. There was a while that it really was less than a gallon.
