"Worth" is dependent on what the bike market is like in your area, what mechanical shape the bike is in, and whether you like the way it fits/rides/looks.

As far as converting it to a fixie, you could do that - but your soul would burn in hell for all eternity. Also, the rear dropouts seem short, and also there will be unsightly shifter bosses on the down tube when you remove the lever.
