UPDATE: I'm now trying to specifically see if the Bianchi is worth the asking price. The seller is firm and barring any issues that my LBS would find (I would meet the seller there) is this a fair price at 650?

Greetings fellow bikers!

I am new to the board and new to the world of cycling. I am now in the market for my first bike. My intentions are to ride the bike every morning to rowing practice (about 3 miles) and to start training for my first tri.

I visited my LBS and got sized for a 58-60cm (I'm 6'2 but only a 32 inch inseem). My budget is not very big right now, circa 500-600. My very helpful LBS lady did not have any used bikes and was honest in saying that the road bike / touring that I was looking for was not there in that price range (with any quality to it).

I've found these two on craigslist near me and was wondering If I could get some opinions from you all on the quality and the price of these two bikes. I'm sure newbies come along and disappear all the time but I promise to contribute back to the forum as I gain experience and knowledge!
