I'm sorry but this post is about the dumbest piece of drivel I have ever read. Thiefs breaking into vaults have special tools, years of experience, tons of time and carefully orchestrated plans. NOT A BIC PEN!!! I have personally (along with a few hundred others, as posted on the threads... which apparently you didn't actually read), opened the Masterlock cuffs we have at work, and have a few friends who were able to open their Kryptos when I told them about this. Maybe you missed the 100 posts of those who got it to work (several long time board members included), or the 4 videos, or the articles in New York Times, or Kryptonite acknowledging that yes, it is a problem, or the fact that this came up as early as 1992... but yes, clearly, you are right. This is some carefully orchestrated plan to get us to switch to a flat key lock so the thieves can have a field day on our bikes.
Bottom line, Masterlock is giving him the shaft by offering him some very inexpensive locks with no guarantee in trade for his rather expensive lock that came with a guarantee.

that type key has been used for years on a lot of stuff including pop machines
and you dont hear about then bein picked just the whole thing broken in to
Your thing is you want your bikes to be securited right and want a garrenty that if they are stolen while you had them locked up they would be replaced
they said they will do that
remember "Locks are made to keep honest people honest not stop theifs, just slow them down"
if a multi Million dollar vault cant stop a theif how do you excpect a $50 lock to
