There was other Shimano skulduggery that people were more interested in than electronic shifting as Shimano, once again, tries to force it's will on the rest of the industry for it's own nefarious purposes.

Spec for the next model year is usually set in Nov to Jan. The Taipei show is now too late to have a significant impact on OE spec. Some deals are still finalized here but they are in the minority. This show is turning into more of an after market trade show and an international consumer show. It does fall about 6 months after the Eurobike show so it is a good chance to have some face to face with customers/suppliers. A few months ago many thought that the show had out lived its' usefulness but, even with the expanded capacity offered by the new facilities, booth space was sold out. It seems the show has the legs afterall and will remain an important on for the industry.

Next up, for me, Shanghai show. Now that is a consumer show.
When is that? I am in Taipei from tomorrow, how's that for bad planning!

Sean, you showing there?
