It is a great move to exercise as soon as you give up the smokes. I quit 5 years ago (technically 5 years 4 months 12 days) and had tremedous weight gain.

Exercise has been my ultimate goal this year (weightloss is just the byproduct of fitness). I began lifting weights every other day and stationary biking on the off days. My goal was to begin bike commuting as soon as the weather warmed.

I've done over 200 mi in the past 3 weeks and looking forward to commuting next week.

Now, I have to plan my next challenge. I don't believe you can gain if you don't challenge yourself.
