Searching again. sigh. ISO a Mafac Competition (like racers) adjuster part. It's not the part that touches the cable housing. It looks to be a fixed double ended insert that screws into the lever body. The cable adjuster then screws onto this piece and holds the housing straight(and adjusts the brakes of course). Looks like a hollow threaded tube with a nut in the middle. I could post a pic, but I am afraid to rip my hoods which are nearly immaculate. Can anyone help?,,,,BD
