I'm a road biker looking to get into mountain biking and I need some advice.

I'm considering the Raleigh Ram 3.0 for $599. I know Raleigh isn't the best but this is a great deal. Plus I get a helmet, u-lock and mini-pump thrown in for free.

Thoughts?
