But how does the freewheel go on there. I know it screws on. But what happens if I want to get it off?
As theres freewheel in the hub and the freewheel block. I have several freewheels. Thought the easiest would be a Maillard. They have a big centre hole, so I could put the SA bearing cone in there after its mounted. Also Raleigh used them on racers. But how would I adjust the bearings?
To remove a freewheel or a cog from a threaded SA driver;
Remove the driver from the hub. You may need a 15mm deep socket.
Put a piece of 5/16" (or 8mm) bar stock or plate in a vice. (5/16" can be hard to find, but 1/4" will work.)
Slip the driver splines over the bar.
Use the FW remover (or chain whip for a cog) in the usual manner.

This "bar in a vice" is also the best way to hold the driver when prying out the dust cover to clean or replace the bearing.

But how would I adjust the bearings?
Adjust the right side bearings before reinstalling a freewheel. Since the fine adjustment is always done to the left cone, this is not a potential maintenance problem.
