thanks a2. I think that is alot of the problem. I love to ride but I've never really learned proper techniques, I am just winging it. Looking around to find more of that type of info. Is there a "basic MTB techniques" DVD that I can get?

BTW, took the bike to LBS today and the hub wasn't broke. He took it apart and tightened *something* and it seemed okay, but they are doing a 30 day tune so they have it til Monday. (damn!) Will have to ride the old trek 4300 til it gets back!
