I'm flying down to LA tomorrow and will be visiting some friends in Pasadena. Are there any folding bike shops in that area or any particularly cool regular bike shops worth a visit?
If you're still around Pasadena, InCycle, Performance Bicycle Shop, Velo Pasadena, and Pasadena Cyclery all carry a very limited inventory of Dahon models. They may carry the standard Curve, Speed D7, Mariner, and Ciao, but I've also seen the limited-edition
Hon Solo at Incycle.
But again, there are hardly any in-store models to actually check out. Maybe only 1 or 2 in stock at each shop.

BTW, if you had time you could check out Electric Cyclery/Bike Fold in Laguna Beach. They specialize in electric and folding bikes. While they don't have a huge showroom, they probably have more folding bikes than all of the Pasadena shops combined. Plus, they sell more brands than just Dahons.
