I actually ordered the Bike on 9/17/04. The scheduled delivery date was originally supposed to be 9/24/04.
the bike arrived on 9/23/04. When I ordered the bike, I had read that delivery could take 7-14 business days. I figured that since it was a Schwinn, the price was good and the delivery was free that it seemed like a good deal. I also figured that if anyone had any horror stories about this bike, that I would still have enough time to cancel the order. Since things turned out the way they did I am very pleased.
On another note, the recent Kryptonite lock situation does not just involve Kryptonite 2000 Locks, but any TUBULAR CYLINDER LOCKS. I have a Club 6 Foot Cable Lock #UTL902 which has the same TUBULAR CYLINDER locking device. I was able to open my lock (on the first try) with a Bic pen, in 3 seconds. Spread the word.
