That isn't to say it isn't 531 if it doesn't have a 27.2 though - we all know that. Straight gauge 531, as the Raleigh Super Course was indicative of, came in quite a few sizes.

P.S.: My '61 Paramount P-12 uses a very tight-fitting 27.0 post - straight-gauge 531, if I recall right. Recently found a section of the downtube wherein you can read the "REYNOLDS 531" lettering through the paint. Fun stuff.
