I have the S150 and never had a problem getting it hooked on tight to the bike mount. Both leads do need to make contact. The only thing I think you could possibly be doing wrong is not threading the wrist strap through the top side the mount which is the only way to let the watch sit tightly on the mount? It should lock down pretty tight and not move around.
