I had a really nice ride on newly ploughed utility roads in the forests today. Beautiful sunshine and a bit below freezing. Still lots of snow, life was really good. This is my first winter riding fixed and I like it alot. Alone on these woodland roads the extra challenge of riding a studded fixie is very nice. I think that the extra vigilance fixed riding demands makes me a safer cyclist. I do ride with two brakes though.
