I think their "on board" vertical accumulator algorithm must be pretty crude. But by the time the raw data gets read by and analyzed by Ascent, the numbers I've been getting are dead on.

I can't say enough good things about Ascent. I requested a VAM (rate of ascent) feature, and it was added to the next minor upgrade a few weeks later.
