Took the back way home yesterday, on 25mph street coming up on stem of a T intersection with me having a stop sign. Across top of T is a school and MUP I was heading to. There are 2 cars lined up at stop sign and crossing guard has them and x-traffic stopped to let the elementary school kids cross. I line up behind last car. Suddenly the crossing guard gets all excited steps aside to get sight lines to me and madly starts waving me forward. Me? I wondered. I shook my head 'No'. She got very excited and waved more madly at me so I pulled to the left of the line of cars and went forward all the while she was waving me thru. After I crossed and passed she cheerfully said to me: "It's a pedestrian crossing!" and some other words about not waiting.
