I will hopefully post a new thread with images soon, but I bought a set of the Planet Bike Hardcore Road fenders last night and got them installed, with 28c tires!

It was a little more complicated for me than ebrady's installation (took about an hour), partially due to my own incompetence and inexperience working on my bicycle, but also the clearance with the 28c tires is, erm, limited. I ended up installing the plastic clip for the rear fender that is supposed to attach in the same place as the rear brake lower down with a zip-tie. I just couldn't attach it in the orthodox way and get the tire not to rub.

This morning was dry, of course, and there was a little rattling and rubbing that some fine tuning should hone out (there wasn't any last night), but now I have full fenders on my "un-fenderable" road bike!

Don't trust what LBSs tell you, even good ones.
