It's competing in the same realm as the Lupine Betty, DiNotte 600L-dual, and Supernova P-99-D. All of them are over the $800 price point and put out an ungodly amount of light. None of them are really suited for road riding, except for this new Big Bang design which meets the StVZO reg's.
For the same price, you can buy a nice wheel with a SON28, and dual Supernova E3's and not have to worry about running out of battery power. (And still have enough photon power to vaporize wildlife and medium sized pedestrians.)
yeah, i believe it's a "reasonable" price considering what it is, but still. DUUDE. i believe in spending enough money to get quality and function, but it's hard to spend huge money on stuff that is so stealable. like i'd love to have a rivendell bike, and i'd even be willing to save for one, but waht would i DO with it? i couldn't even lock it up. i'd be too worried. i'd hate to have to worry about $900 in lighting equipment. haha. man. i'd sure love to have that much light though.
