The roadies I ran with during my days in The Orange (CA) County Wheelmen wondered where I found all the short-cuts I dragged them through. Easy, I am always wondering where little bits of pavement and bare dirt disappear to and I go out of my way to check them. I do not mind having to turn around and retrace my steps if it does not work out.
