It is close enough to the fork that the housing of the light contacts the cantilever brake, preventing me from angling the light as far back as I would like. This results in the lightbeam contacting the ground about five feet ahead of the front wheel. I may try some spacers or the like to increase the distance of the light from the fork. The instruction sheet speaks of a three position beam adjustment on the headlight itself, but I have not yet found this or figured it out. There are no pictures on the instruction sheet showing where this adjustment is.
After trying to puzzle out the multi-lingual instructions and the international symbols for wiring, and finding no help on the Net, I finally figured out how to connect it. The Dahon hub has preinstalled metric spade connectors, and my previous Lumotec Oval Senso Plus light was able to plug them in directly. The new Lumotec IQ Fly also has four metric spade terminals: two on the left (top and bottom) and two on the right (top and bottom). By connecting the hot wire to the bottom terminal on the left, and the ground wire to the bottom terminal on the right, I got it to work.
The light is much, much whiter and brighter than my Lumotec halogen. The standlight is also very bright. If I can figure out the mount and beam adjustment, and if stands up to our wet Pacific NW weather, I think I have a winner here.
Hmmm..... I wonder if those 2 extra terminals are to connect a tail light.
