That is a KMC chain, correct? I've never ever seen or heard of one of those masterlinks coming apart. A shoddy job with a chain tool would be more dangerous than a master link. Plus it makes it way easier to clean your chain.

I love izumi chains, but i would throw that master link out and put a full link in, i just feel weird knowing a masterlink could **** up, espcially if you aren't running brakes.
They are Ultegra cranks, I did the
build with extra parts I had but I wanted them to match. My brother has a plating business so he said, "what do you think of gold?" I said ok. He is plating the rear caliper gold and when it's done I will put it on the front as it is identical except for the mounting bolt.
I took it out on it's maiden voyage yesterday. 45 miles and it rides smooth but the seat needs to go, it's more like a torture device than a saddle.
