The bridge is the Hawaii Kai one, before the marina, over the water where you get sudden gusts off the water.
Yup, that's the bridge I was thinking about - not too far past Roy's Restaurant and the place we turned around the time we had our group ride. Every once in a while, those gusts can be a bit frightening! Moving faster helps when you're trying to hold a straight line, but I generally ride no more than about 12 mph when I'm on that bridge sidewalk. Too slow (less than 8 mph or so) will make you vulnerable to crosswinds.

I've been thinking about it, and I don't think I've ever been over that bridge Ewa bound! I always go up to Lunalilo and left turn just past Kaiser High School and return to Kalanianaole via Hawaii Kai Drive.

Tell your BF I said "hi". Hope his tri-training is going well.
