Fancy paint is just something to cry over when it gets chipped. And an excuse not to ride in the rain / lock it properly / buy one of those silly top tube pads.
You're buying this frame because it's affordable, right? That's its appeal, right?
What if I offered to sell you this fictional 3Rensho with totally sick paint-- but I'd magically replaced the tubing with straight gauge hi-ten boatanchor material. Would you still pay $400 for it? Or would you deem it a bad deal, compared to better-made frames with boring paint?
