I don't shave my face, why in the world would I shave my legs? I never have shaved my legs, but I did think about it a few times.

I think it is part of the mentality that the only "serious" cyclist is in the hobby to race... or at least look like they do.

This is also reflected in the aggressive geometry that passes as "relaxed" today...
