My goal was 1 million feet for the year, which I hit in early October.
The routine was ride every day, taking off only when really tired. I averaged over 4000' per ride, which took me about 2.5-3 hours typically. No flat rides, no social rides. I spent 1000 hours on the bike that year.
For the year:
Ride days: 280
Non-ride days: 86
Hours on bike: 1000
Miles on bike: 14,567
Vertical on bike: 1,211,779'
I don't recommend this as a goal to anyone. Making quota became a job. These days, I don't even keep track of my vertical.
