As far as insoles are concerned, I thought I'd be forced to invest in some custom ones (I ride 45's,) but I just snipped a good little bit off the arch part of the stock one and now they're just fine. But yeah, they were definitely hurting the first few times I rode. I'm not exactly sure what it was, but I think I have flat feet.
I'm the opposite -- I need good arches in my shoes, or else my knees are wrecked (mainly when jogging).
